Thor 4yr old male GSP / Pointer
Thor is a very handsome, elegant 4yr old male pointer who has just arrived at the shelter. He is really handsome and was given up by his hunter as he was deemed “not useful for hunting”.
With people he is very shy, at first, but once he knows you he is very affectionate and good natured. He would like a home with another friendly dog to help his confidence.
He is great with other dogs, females and males, he is relatively calm and submissive (although he may become more active as he relaxes in a new home) he shares a kennel with Mara with whom he gets along very well.
He is very anxious about food, eats a lot, and protects it from being taken away, probably because he has known hungry times.

Thor was rescued from mid Spain, as with all our dogs, he has been tested for Mediterranean diseases and sadly he has tested positive to Leish and Filaria. The leish result is so low he needs no treatment but he will need monitoring with regular blood tests, the filaria (heartworm) he is being treated for now in Spain and will travel in the new year when the treatment is complete.
