English Setter, 5 Years Old

UPDATE: Taner is now in foster in Essex. He’s doing really well and settling in to home life after waiting so long to find a home. He lives with two resident dogs and gets on well with them now. He can also live with cats with slow and careful introductions, he does want to chase at first but with dog savvy cats, he is learning to go slow and even ignore them completely. He is currently fed on raw food and despite arriving with not much appetite, he’s enjoying his food more as he settles. He responds to his name and does show some promise of recall when on a long line, although he is still in the honeymoon period so this may change over time! His foster mum says he is absolutely adorable, extremely happy, tail constantly wagging, a big smile and very bouncy!

Taner is a handsome English setter, DOB 29.04.17, and will be travelling to foster in Essex in September

Taner ended up with the shelter as his hunter said he wasn’t good enough to hunt with and didn’t want him anymore

He’s a really lovely boy. He’s a bit shy at first but gains confidence quickly. He’s very affectionate with people and behaves well in the shelter environment. He gets on well with female dogs but can be a little unsure around males so his ideal home would be with a female or as an only dog
