Sabueso, 2 Years Old

Sultan is a handsome sabueso of 2 years old, DOB 18.05.19

He was given to the shelter by his hunter who said he wasn’t good for hunting which is very common in Spain. Sabueso are a smart breed of dog, used to wild boar and other game. They are the Spanish equivalent of the more known bloodhound in the UK, although are often compared to basset hounds.

Sultan is sociable with male and female dogs and shares his run with Kora who he gets on with really well, even sharing their food! He can be a little bit shy with people and he’s really submissive so probably hasn’t had the best interactions with humans previously. However, he’s very affectionate once he knows people. He doesn’t know how to walk on a lead yet and may have challenging recall
