English Setter, 9 Year Old
Update: Sol is a 9 year old English Setter. He’s been living in the U.K. for 2 years. Sadly his family have had a devastating change in circumstances and Sol is now looking for a new home. He currently lives as an only dog but gets on well with other dogs at his regular doggy day care. He’s good around children and cats too. He’s in the Bristol area and looking to more ASAP
Sol’s adopters say, “Sol has settled into our family from day one. He is a calm dog around the house. He has been let off lead in appropriate areas once he bonded with us. He goes to doggy daycare once per week for socialisation and gets on with every dog and human he meets. He does pull on the lead a bit but we have been working on this and he has got better over time. He does have a sensitive belly and it has taken us a while to get him settled on the right food for him but this is no longer a problem as long as no one feeds him something different. There is nothing wrong with Sol and as far as a having a dog goes, he is the perfect one- we were very lucky to find him. This makes it all the more difficult.”
He’s had regular check ups with the vet every 6 months and is up to date on his vaccines and worming treatments.
HISTORY: Sol is a 9 year old English setter, DOB 03/05/13
Sol has been rescued from a pound and is now at one of the shelters we work very closely with in the north of Spain
They say he’s a really good dog, he’s very affectionate and just wants attention, he’d loved to be made a fuss of all day long.
He’s good with male and female dogs in the shelter, he’s a very happy and submissive dog and loves to play too. The ladies who run the shelter say he has an eternal smile, he’s simply wonderful.
Dogs of Sol’s age are often overlooked despite them not being ‘old’. He’s full of life and now he’s been rescued from a grim pound, he’s just looking for a loving home where he can spend his next seven years making up for his first seven!
