English Setter, 5 Years Old
The handsome Sei is a 5 year old English setter, DOB 05/03/15
He was handed in to the shelter by a hunter who said he wasn’t good enough at hunting. He is scared of people he doesn’t know and is a shy boy in general at the moment. Even with strangers, he will let them stroke him but he needs a kind and understanding adopter who will take things as slowly as he needs. We are also looking for a home with a resident dog for him to guide him
He’s a very handsome chap but he has a look of sadness to him at the moment. He lies in his bed a lot in the shelter. He’s fine with other dogs but doesn’t interact with them much at the moment, he seems a little fearful of them. The shelter say he arrived with a mark on his face that looked like a dog bite so it looks like he’s not had a great time with humans or dogs sadly. A friendly resident dog would really help with his confidence but introductions should be managed carefully so that Sei feels comfortable and not overwhelmed. Hopefully during his time at the shelter, he will already gain confidence with other dogs.
