As many of you know, SeBPRA held it’s first fun dog show on Saturday 25th May. The show was held in the grounds of the Eagle and Child, a beautiful and historic country pub in Bispham Green, West Lancashire.
The aim of the show was to raise much needed funds for SePBRA and to give dog owners the opportunity to have a good old day out with their dogs!
The event was really well attended, with classes for best puppy, junior handler, prettiest girl, most handsome dog, treat catcher, party trick, dog most like it’s owner, best veteran, dog olympics and dog the judge would most like to take home. The winner of each class went through to Best in Show at the end of the day.
The Best in show award went to Hector, a beautiful French Bulldog puppy, and Reserve best in show went to Wilf, a gorgeous 12 year old Northern Inuit dog.
One of the most wonderful things about the day was the number of children entering classes with their dog, and the confidence they had in handling their dogs. It was truly lovely to see.
The amazing Fylde Coasters flyball team gave a truly exciting flyball demonstration over lunchtime, and gave people the opportunity to try flyball for themselves.
The show was a huge success and raised £220 for SeBPRA. Equally importantly, all had a fabulous day out with their dogs!
