English Setter, 8 Years Old
This is Rory, an 8 year old English setter, DOB 01.01.12
Rory was picked up off the streets and handed into the local streets. Nobody claimed him so he was soon at one of the wonderful shelters we work with while he finds a home. The poor guy wasn’t coping too well at the shelter so he’s in foster with Charo and her family (and dogs!), he’s doing great there and looks so much happier already
The poor boy hasn’t got the best of luck. He has cataracts and dry eye, they’re giving him artifical tears but the naughty thing turns his head and tries to stop them from going in. Unfortunately his eyes can’t be operated on due to the type of cataract but he manages very well
He has quite weak back legs at the moment with a lot of muscle wastage. He’s on joint supplements and medication which is helping him a lot
He’s a great boy, he gets on fine with the other dogs in the house, he loves a snooze and he loves food!! He’s also very affectionate with children
He walks well on a lead at the moment since it helps guide him where he’s going since he can’t see too well so he likes to follow you
