German Wirehaired Pointer, 10 Years Old
Rayo is a handsome German Wirehaired Pointer, he is 10 years old, date of birth 1/06/2014.
Sadly Rayo was another dog abandoned by Spanish hunters when no longer any use to them. He is an amazing dog with a wonderful good nature.
Rayo has a wonderfully calm and balanced character, he has been so good at the shelter, noble, obedient, cheerful and very affectionate. He is good with children, and he seems to be seldom afraid, he is not a nervous dog. He has been tested with cats, he smelled him and then ignored them completely, so we think he might be able to live with confident cats given the right introductions.
Rayo is very affectionate and cheerful, he is always happy and takes every opportunity to be petted. We think he could live happily as an only dog or in a home with other dogs, as he is very sociable and friendly with dogs but does not seem too dependent on their company.
His coat is shaggy and rather unkempt at the moment as he has always lived in a kennel, however with the better food at the kennels it is already starting to become shiner and with continued care he should have grow a wonderful coat in time.
