GWP, 12 Years Old
This lovely old boy is Ray, he’s 12 years old, DOB 01.08.08
Ray’s passport says griffon but he appears to be a German wire-haired pointer, or at least have a lot of GWP in him. He was given to the shelter by his hunter who no longer wanted him and had him tied to a chain with no care at all.
Ray is a very sad boy at the moment and is looking for an adopter to turn his life around. He doesn’t have much muscle in his back legs from being tied up so long and you can see in the photos that he has a large lump in his neck. The vets thinks this is from his salivary glands and he is on medication and will be operated on if necessary.
He’s improving little by little at the shelter but what he really needs is a home. He’s very very affectionate and just wants a fuss and stroke. He even cries when you give him attention, something he’s never had in his 12 years until now
