English Setter, 7 Years Old
UPDATE 30.05.25: Rasta is currently in foster in South Lanarkshire, Scotland. After such a long time in the shelter, she’s getting used to the comforts of a home, making herself very comfortable on the sofa after so many years of sleeping on concrete. She’s doing really well adapting to the routine of a home, including her toilet training which is coming on great already, even overnight.
Rasta’s true love is people. She absolutely adores being centre of attention and happily greets people with a lovely waggy tail! She would love a home with people around for the majority of time and would lap up all the fusses and cuddles she can get, she’s a real sweetheart.
Rasta loves spending time outside at her foster home, just like in the shelter. Being a true working setter, she loves to explore and take in all the smells
Poor Rasta eats all her meals at the moment like it’s both her first and last. Sadly, this isn’t uncommon for our dogs who often haven’t had a constant food supply for most of their lives but in time, she will learn she doesn’t need to worry about where her next meal will come from in a loving home.
HISTORY: Rasta is a 7 year old English Setter, DOB 10.03.18
Rasta is an absolutely beautiful girl who was given up by her hunter. She’s quite petite in size but makes up for it in character. She’s very affectionate and happy to see people and isn’t phased by things like traffic on walks. She was nervous around other dogs when she arrived at the shelter but slowly she is managing to settle in more and share her space and was great on a walk with other dogs. She could live with a calm resident dog or would make an ideal only dog as well
