English Setter, 1 Years Old
UPDATE: Pirlo is currently in foster in Dunfermline, Scotland.
Pirlo was flagged as a dog that needed to leave the shelter in Spain as soon as possible, so he’s now with a wonderful foster home. He’s very quickly gone from a dog with heaps of nervous energy who found it hard to relax, to a calm boy who loves a snuggle on the sofa.
Pirlo is exceptionally smart and is learning lots in his foster home. He can be quite anxious around food, a sign that he’s definitely not had a plentiful supply in his previous life, but he’s already starting to calm down with the help of learning some fun games with his foster parents. He still loves to run and stretch his legs and has adored his time in the secure dog field, followed by plenty of naps! He absolutely loves people and would happily spend all the time in the world lying on top of people having the biggest cuddles. It doesn’t take him long to make friends with people and find a cosy place next to them for a bit of a snuggle. He’s currently living with another dog too which he really enjoys and he’s also learning how fun toys can be! He’s very good at reading other dog’s body language so would happily live in a home with another resident dog (or dogs!) but he also doesn’t seem dependant on canine company so could live on his own with a family around a lot of the time.
Pirlo is a 1 year old English Setter, DOB 30.01.23
Pirlo is yet another setter given up by his hunter in Spain. He’s a stunning tricolour setter with long and silky hair making him quite the handsome chap! He’s very active as you’d expect for such a young dog. He’s very friendly and submissive with other dogs, sharing his kennel with two others and doing very well with them. He needs stimulated mentally and physically but as long as his needs are met, he’s a relaxed and calm boy. Sadly he doesn’t get this in a shelter environment so he’s currently stressed and we’d love to find him a home soon so he can settle. He’s very sweet and affectionate, a really lovely boy!
