Pointer Cross, 3 Years Old
Perry is a 3 year old male pointer cross
-
Perry has a sad story. He was found roaming and collected by the pound. When he was there, a family offered to adopt him. But things didn’t work out, the very same day, Perry was found again, tied up on the street after the family decided they didn’t want him. So off he went back to the pound.
Unfortunately he had to wait there for some time since he was registered to the people who had adopted him and since they hadn’t brought him back, the pound had to wait the statutory time again before they could release him. So poor Perry waited an extra two months locked in a kennel at the pound. He was then taken by AELA where he is now being cared for. When he arrived at the shelter he was very hungry and worried that each meal was going to be his last but he’s improved a lot already. He should be fed separately initially, just in case he feels he needs to protect his food.
Perry is a very affectionate dog and loves to be made a fuss of. He’s people focused and likes to be by your side at the minute, with children he is careful and delicate despite his size, and the shelter say he’s a really good boy. He often walks well on the lead, but when he does pull he is very strong. He seems to be a quick learner.
He’s sociable with other dogs, gets on well with female dogs, but some male dogs make him nervous. He loves to be active, despite not having the chance to do much exercise lately. He’s very agile and loves to run
and play.
