English Setter, 3 Years Old
Pepa is a lovely 3 year old English setter, DOB 14.07.18
Pepa came over the UK in December into foster where she settled well and played lovely with the resident setter and children in the family. She was the adopted just before Christmas and renamed Eva. Eva went to live with two resident dogs who she gets on well with.
Generally, she has settled into home life in the UK well, sleeping through the night, being settled in the house and with toilet training. But unfortunately, her lead walking and recall is typical working English setter fashion and she pulls and gets very excited when she sees birds. The adopter has began to find this unmanageable with her two other dogs on walks and has decided she’s Eva is not best placed in this home.
Eva is a very loving and affectionate girl and is good with children and other dog but seems to prefer the company of female dogs. She is currently in Halifax and we are looking for a home with another resident dog. Pepa has not been cat tested and will not be.
History: Pepa was not wanted by her hunter who said she was not good for hunting and he didn’t want her.
She’s good with male and females at the shelter. She’s really sweet and approaches people very shyly but asking for a big love. She’s very obedient at the shelter but this could change as she gains confidence and pushes boundaries a bit more!
