German Shorthaired Pointer, 12 Years Old
Lur is a beautiful female German Shorthaired pointer, she is an older lady of 12, her date of birth is 05/05/2011.
Lur is an absolute star, a wonderful grandmother handed into the shelter by her hunter because she is no longer useful to him. It is heart-breaking to see these older dogs abandoned, but sadly it is common.
Lur has a wonderful nature, the shelter say she is very sociable with dogs and has a very balanced character, quiet and very respectful with all dogs, she has been paired up with some of the more timid dogs to help them gain confidence.
With people Lur is incredibly affectionate and attached, she does not pull on the lead within the shelter and seems very obedient (although this could change on an exciting walk).
Lur arrived with a large pimple on her right eyelid which the vet has now removed but you might notice it in some of the photos.
