Male 2 Year Old Weimaraner
UPDATE Klaus (male 2 year old Weimaraner) arrived in UK foster near Gloucester on the 12th Feb and is doing amazingly well. His date of birth is 10/06/2019.
Klaus is such a loving boy, he adores people and just wants to be loved. He stressed while in kennels in Spain and lost weight, but he is doing so well now he is in a loving home again.
We are looking for a home for Klaus which has a friendly resident dog (preferably a female dog) and lots of human companionship. Klaus adores humans and is always looking for a cuddle. With female dogs he is polite and enjoys a playful game, with male dogs he is more stand offish and can be quite growly / fearful initially.
Klaus is in a wonderful foster home with a male and female dog, he plays and snuggles up with both the dogs now although he took longer to become good friends with the male dog. He enjoys their company, but really enjoys time with his foster mum. He is a sensitive and slightly insecure soul, having been abandoned by his first owner he really seeks out the human love and cuddles now.
Klaus loves to play ball, he is a clever boy, he loves to learn and could do well at agility or canicross. He is an athletic and tall dog, he can jump a pet gate with ease from a standing start.
His foster mum says ” Klaus is an amazingly loving, beautiful silver Weimaraner. He has clearly had a loving home previously, he knows basic commands and seeks out cuddles. He has struggled since losing his family. He is a total sweetheart. He is my shadow, leaning against me, always available to receive strokes, scratches and affection. He needs people, attention and love. He bares the scars of his relatively short kennel life and we are trying to save the tip of his tail. His condition has already improved in the week he has been with us, he picks up weight easily in a good environment. He would love a home either with just humans or with a gentle canine companion. He will always give more love than he receives.”
Klaus is a spectacular Weimaraner with a sad story. He was originally a pet and lived in the house but when his owner moved abroad he was given to a friend, a hunter. But the hunter decided he did not want him and he was handed into the shelter. Klaus has an athletic and elegant demeanour, and a lovely character. He is cheerful and active and affectionate with people.
