Jo is one of our rehomers, primarily focussing on setters!

I had always believed that spaniels were only breed for me until one day at a beer festival I met the most beautiful Irish setter who was going to show me that their might be another breed equally special to me. I then became fascinated by the breed and spent time researching and reading up on setters, which is where I came across SeBPRA.

A year or so later I welcomed Leah home, my rescue setter from SeBPRA. She’s taught me so much about how rewarding dog rescue can be and the how special it is building a bond with a dog that arrived so nervous.
Shortly after Leah arrived home, I started helping with the rehoming team pairing setters up with their forever families.

I run a dog walking and pet sitting business in Cornwall, where I live with my partner Tom, my cocker spaniel Ralph, my two rescue bunnies and of course Leah. Other than helping out at SeBPRA, I spend my spare time horse riding and going to agility with Ralph and Leah. I am also working towards becoming an accredited dog trainer and behaviourist.
