English Setter, 2 Years Old
UPDATE: Iru is currently in foster in Cumbria. Having arrived in late June terribly scared, Iru is already starting to gain confidence around people and has surprised his foster home by deciding he was brave enough to go on his first walk which he enjoyed with a little bit of reassurance
When Iru first arrived, he was too scared to approach humans and took himself off to quiet spots around the house where he felt safe. His wonderful foster home have given him the space and time he needs and he is now slowly but surely coming round to the idea that humans aren’t all bad and approaching them for a fuss on his own accord
Iru needs a home with a resident dog to help show him the ropes and give him security while humans are still scary to him. He’d benefit from a quiet home where he doesn’t have lots of expectations on him as although he’s doing really well, it will take time for Iru to really flourish. He’d also do best in a child free home due to his fears.
UPDATE: Iru is a beautiful boy who arrived with many fears and insecurities. He has improved a little thanks to having other more confident dogs around but he is struggling a lot. He needs a quiet home with another well balanced and friendly dog to help show him the ropes and kind and patient adopters who can give him time to trust at his own pace. He would benefit from a more rural home with no small children
Iru is a 2 year old English Setter, DOB 07.02.22
This wonderful boy has been given up by his hunter. The poor chap has arrived with so many fears and feeling very insecure. We don’t know what he’s been through in his short 2 years but he tries to avoid people which is so sad to see, he’s clearly had a rough ride as far as humans are concerned
Iru needs a quiet and patient home. He will need a resident dog to help him with his confidence and no small children who he might find overwhelming. A countryside location would suit Iru so he can get used to noises and new things at his own pace and a secure garden to explore while he build his confidence up for walks
