Griffon, 4 Years Old
Guard is such a handsome male griffon, he is four years old, his date of birth is 1/8/2020.
Guard has been waiting in a shelter we work with for far too long. We often help Pointers and Brittanys from this shelter and this month they asked if we could also help this handsome griffon as he has been left waiting, completely over looked by possible adopters, and of course we said yes!
Guard is such an affectionate and kind boy. The staff at the shelter love him so much. He gets along well with other dogs and is great with people. Please do see the videos below.
Guard is an active dog, but not overly so; he’s very well-behaved within the confines of the shelter. Griffons are scent hounds and so when out he will be very inclined to follow his nose and become deaf to recall, so initially enclosed fields or long lines will be needed until good recall is well established. He could no doubt excel at man trailing and other scent work.
Guard has been cat tested and did well, we think he could live with confident cats with the right introductions.
