English Setter, 8 Years Old
Grant is an 8 year old English Setter, DOB 01.06.16
A year ago, one of the shelters we work with in Spain became aware of a setter needing him. By the time they had space to be able to take him on, they were told it had been sorted and the dog no longer needed help. Fast forward a year, they became aware of a setter that had been abandoned at a pound in the Basque Country and had been there a year. As soon as they saw the photos, they realised it was the same dog and went to collect Grant urgently.
Grant is a wonderful character. Despite his sad expression plastered all over his face, he is very calm and well balanced without any fear. He approaches people in a sweet and slow way, as if he is afraid of being rejected by so eager to receive love at the same time. Although he is not nervous, it’s also obvious that he’s lived a life with no love. As soon as he’s given any affection, he does not want you to leave. He’s sociable with other dogs and has a gentle character. He could live as an only dog or with others and something tells us he’d make a wonderful lap dog, ready to take some good naps on a sofa once he finds one!
