Brittany cross 3 years old

Gaston is a very handsome large male Brittany cross, date of birth 10/9/2017.

Gaston was found on the streets in the south of Spain. His chip traced him back to a lady who no longer wanted him and gave him to a hunter, but he ran away from the hunter a few times and he ended up on the street unwanted.

Gaston is a gorgeous dog, he is large for a Brittany, obviously crossed with something.

Gaston is a strong lovable character, he gets on well with male and female dogs, but does not cope well when left in a kennel, so we are looking for a home with someone around most of the day. He will need gentle training to help him learn to cope for short periods alone. He is very affectionate dog and absolutely adores human company.

We are looking for an active home with preferably a friendly resident dog for company.

When Gaston was found he had a couple of wounds on his back and ear but these are healing up well and are almost invisible now. When Gaston was tested for Mediterranean diseases, we found he had heart worm, so he is undergoing treatment in Spain and will not travel until mid May. Fortunately the disease was caught early, before there were any worms in the heart so we expect no long term damage. Gaston has also had some colitis but is responding well to change of food and some medication. He is currently quite thin but should put on weight once his tummy settles down and he is no longer stressing in kennels. He loves food and will steal some if given the chance.

Gaston tested negative to Leish, but as he comes from a Leish endemic area, we would recommend regular testing see our article on Leish https://sebpra.org/canine-leishmaniasis/
