German Shorthaired Pointer, 4 Years Old
Duke is our all action hero, he is such a handsome four year old German Shorthaired Pointer, he is large, slender and very elegant. Duke came over from Spain October 2024, he originally comes from a shelter in Toledo, central Spain, his date of birth is 01/01/21.
Duke is a complete love bug, he adores people and dogs and has settled so well in the home, completely understanding about housetraining, he loves his place on the sofa on his own doggy blanket, he sleeps in his own bed in the bedroom and he travels well in the car.
Outside Duke is very active and loves to run and hunt, even in the garden. Recall in the garden is great, but out on exciting walks he needs a long line or a secure field.
Duke throws himself 100% into everything, whether it is playing ball, hunting sparrows, swimming or running, he is all action. Duke has been living with a wonderful couple, but sadly he has proved to be a little too much for them.
Duke adores companionship and will settle wherever you are, he is currently living as an only dog, but would probably prefer a home with another friendly dog to keep him company.
Duke great with other dogs and has never showed any aggression. He has incredibly high prey drive, so a home with cats is a complete nono.
With training Duke could be an amazing canicross partner.
