Griffon, 6 Years Old
Carr is a very handsome 6 year old griffon, DOB 01.01.15
Carr was rescued from a pound in Asturias. He’s a spectacular boy with gorgeous eyes.
Carr adores people, he’s super affectionate and gets very attached to people. The shelter say that he is pure love, just adores to be with people and is good with children too. He’s not the biggest fan of dogs so he would be an ideal only dog for anybody without a resident dog looking to adopt.
Carr is very active and just loves to be out and about walking or running. Like most of our dogs, he’s not great on the lead, he’s probably not used to wearing one, but he also doesn’t pull excessively. He absolutely adores food which should hopefully help with lead training.
UPDATE from shelter.. Magnificent hound and griffon mongrel rescued from the Heria kennel where he had been locked up for a long time, he came to us without having had much human contact and without socialising with dogs, little by little he has been improving and is a very affectionate and attached dog with people, who seeks at all times the caresses and cuddles of people, he is a dog with character, who has no problems at present with his neighbours in the kennel but somewhat possessive with food and jealous of his space so we think he would be ideal in a home as an only dog. He gets on very well with children.
Griffons are used in Spain to hunt game like wild boar. They make wonderful pets but can of course be prey driven and recall can be challenging. Please note, this Griffon is also advertised with Spanish Griffon Rescue, a charity we work closely with. You can apply through us or through them.
