English Setter, 7 Years Old
UPDATE: Ares arrived in the UK on 20.07.24 but sadly his adoption didn’t work out. He’s now in foster in Kent with a wonderful family while he waits for his forever home again. Ares arrived in his foster home quite stressed but has found his confidence and started to relax in quite a short space of time with the help of his foster family who have taken things as Ares’ pace to help him settle. With each passing day, he’s relaxing more and gaining confidence as well as starting to show his cheeky side which we love!
Ares wins over the hearts of any human that comes his way, which is hardly surprising with that handsome face! Visitors love him and the feeling is mutual but his favourite people are those that give him a belly rub of course! He’s a very sociable lad and not at all phased by visitors in his foster home. He’s happy to relax while his foster humans work from home during the day too.
Ares is a really lovely boy, who at 7, may be overlooked, but he’s the perfect mix of being over his puppy stages but still lots of fun and love left in him and he so badly deserves a home to call his own now. He would benefit from living with a resident dog and a quiet household

Ares is a spectacular boy, rather large and slender with a very elegant appearance. He’s sociable with other dogs and shares his kennel with another setter, Flay, who arrived at the shelter on the same day as Ares. With people he is very affectionate and comes running when he hears his name at the shelter
