German Pointer, 18 Months Old

Martin is now in UK Foster.

Martin’s foster family say..”Martin wants to be friends with everyone! He loves his walks and playing with tennis ball and our GSP, Oscar.
Martin’s greeting when we open the door is full on pleasure that we’re home. He wants to be included but has moments of standing back and watching. Martin is relaxed but still can be startled by sudden unknown noises. The lawnmower, washing machine, car travel and TV don’t phase him but he’s not sure about vacuum. Martin can be vocal – he joins in any dog chorus. So far no toilet accidents in the house but he’s still learning about cruising the kitchen worktops and not taking food. Martin loves running through long grass and then lying out spread eagle in the grass.”

29th June – Martin is now in foster in the UK with another young Male GSP (see photos below). He is doing really well, he gets on with everyone and all dogs, such a friendly boy. He has been clean in the house and well behaved. He loves the company of the other GSP. Like any young pointer, his recall will need some work and at the moment he is only let off lead on very secure areas. He is a lovely young pointer, friendly to dogs and people. He is active, and has a good prey drive. He has had a cat test and he has tried to chase cats while in foster so a home without cats would be ideal (you can see his cat test videos in this album). If you are interested please fill in an online application form, (I will put a link in the comments below).

This is Martin, a good-natured GSP, in a shelter in Leon currently. He gets on fine with other dogs, he’s affectionate with people (see videos), he’s active, loves going for walks. He’s active, pulls a lot on the lead but the volunteer has only just started taking him for regular walks so he has a lot of pent-up energy. He’s interested in scents and we think will have a reasonably strong prey-drive but he is also very focused on her and keeps looking at her which gives us hope on the recall front
