English Setter, 2 Years Old
Update:
Lister, now called Albie, arrived in the UK at the end of last year. Unfortunately, due to a change in circumstances, his adopters have made the difficult decision to rehome him.
Currently living as an only dog in a family with young children, he is a very chilled young boy. He is happy to be left at home alone for a couple of hours and sleeps overnight on his dog bed downstairs. Albie walks well on the lead with a harness but his recall will need work – he’s a setter afterall.
Albie is currently in Warrington but, as he quite enjoys trips in the car, will happily travel for the right home.
History: Lister is a 1 year old English Setter, DOB 08.09.23
Lister came from the same breeder as Kiss, Jen and Leyba who routinely gets rid of several dogs at a time that he doesn’t want. We’re told if we couldn’t help them, he’d get rid of them by whatever means necessary
Lister is a little bit of a shy boy at first if he doesn’t know people but he’s very very sweet with a calm character. Once he knows somebody, he is very attached and attentive. He’s very sociable with other dogs. Sadly he’s arrived underweight like a lot of our dogs so needs to gain some weight but he is small in height as well. He walks well on his lead at the moment although he hasn’t had any training and isn’t used to walking on a lead. He travels well in the car, he’s a very calm dog in the shelter and out and about. He also recalls in secure areas but of course would need to be on a long line on walks.
