German Wirehaired Pointer, 2 Years Old
Flopy del Valle de Duero is a very handsome, two year old German Wirehaired Pointer, his date of birth is 22/7/23. He is a wonderful GWP; tall, strong and athletic with a slender, elegant body and beautiful honey coloured eyes. He was given up by his Spanish hunter because he was very keen on eating the catch, rather than returning it to his hunter! He is a typical GWP, very intelligent, active and capable. In the right home, with people who are active and have time to devote to his training, he will be an amazing dog and friend for life.

Floki is a truly special dog looking for an active, loving home where he can thrive. He’s a joy to have around—affectionate, well-mannered, and full of personality.
The Highlights:
- Loving and affectionate – he absolutely thrives on human attention
- Adores being out and about, he is very active and intelligent, he enjoys his exercise and training sessions
- Absolutely loves the great outdoors, but is also getting used to busier environments – pubs, cafés, town walks
- Recall training is going well, of course this will need continual work and reinforcement
- Walks quite well on the lead, especially after a good run
- Good with other dogs, his love of human attention means he sometimes pushes to the front to get the attention, but he is well mannered with the dogs he lives with and when meeting new dogs
- Excellent in the house – usually calm, clean, and no food guarding
Floki would be perfectly happy as an only dog with lots of human companionship, soaking up all the attention, but could also integrate into a multi-dog household.
Floki is incredibly likeable and easy to live with. He enjoys being part of family life and settles well indoors. He may occasionally carry off socks or gloves, but never destroys anything—just his quirky charm!
He mixes well with dogs both at home and out on walks, although he may vocalise if barked at when on lead.
Floki, like most GWP, is an active dog who needs a home that can offer plenty of exercise and stimulation. He’s used to lots of exercise and training (4+ hours) and enjoys being involved in activities, including group walks and training sessions.
He currently eats well but struggles to gain weight.
