English Setter, 9 Years Old

UPDATE 13.08.23: Ender is now looking for his forever home. Ender was rescued in August 2022, in quite a state and he came on leaps and bounds at the shelter but was getting no interest and the poor boy wasn’t finding a family. We asked one of our lovely foster homes in the UK to take him in on the June trip so we could help him with overcome some health issues in the comfort of a home rather than in a shelter. He’s now doing really well, gaining muscle in his back legs, clear of his ear infection and had some teeth removed. He’s a true gentleman and a real sweetie who could slot into most homes with ease. He’s very happy living with two resident setters but equally would be ok on his own as long as he has plenty of human company! Ender definitely hasn’t had the best start to life and will probably need some pain relief for his achy joints in his old age and some TLC but he’ll be sure to pay it back in oodles of love and loyalty

Ender loves getting out and about but he doesn’t need much exercise compared to most of our dogs and is happy with a short daily plod or two rather than miles of walking. He walks really nicely on his lead and would be well suited to a retired couple of similar set up. He’s also met children with his foster home which he has taken in his stride, in fact, he takes most things in his side! He’s even been on a caravan holiday with his foster family and handled it like a true pro! He’ll happily snooze away some of the day but loves attention from his humans and we’re looking for a home where he will be spoilt and have people round most of the time. He’s really come out of his shell in his foster home already and with the help of the vets, has more of a spring in his step!

UPDATE: Ender is currently in UK foster near London being well looked after while we help him with a few ailments so that he’s ready for a new home

Ender is a 9 year old English setter, DOB 01.01.14

Ender was rescued from an awful pound thanks to the donations we receive on a monthly basis from our adopters and supporters. The poor boy looked a right state and even though we had already maxed out on the number of dogs we could take on, we couldn’t leave him there so thin and sick.

Ender went straight to the vets and although he is only 8, he seems older. They think the poor chap has just had a really tough life. He needs a kind and loving home who can build him up to strength with a good diet and some TLC.

Ender is obedient in the shelter environment and very affectionate with people and sociable with other dogs. We’d love this chap to get into the comfort of a home as soon as possible
