German Shorthaired Pointer, 1 Year Old
Circe is a gorgeous German Shorthaired Pointer, she is one year old, her date of birth is 07/05/22. She is now in foster in Northumberland.
Circe is a beautiful young pointer, she was handed into the shelter as she was no longer wanted by her hunter owner. She arrived in UK foster in January and is settling in so well.
Circe is proving to be a wonderful, intelligent young dog with such a sweet nature. She is very interested and friendly with other dogs – even ones who are barking at her. She is very playful, she quickly mixes in with other dogs, she is polite and matches their energy levels for play. She would love a home with another friendly dog.
With people Circe is very affectionate and she will seek you out for companionship, she loves having company. She actively tries to engage with people and this does mean she tends to jump up for attention, however she is already starting to learn this may not be the best way to greet people. She is a clever girl and she is very trusting with people, allowing a sore foot to be checked and easily leaving things when asked.
Circe is very quick to learn, she is very positive and enthusiastic and will be a joy to train. She is making huge progress with her housetraining and is really keen to please. She responds well to positive training methods and is quite food motivated. Circe loves to bring back balls in the garden and stretch her legs in secure dog fields.
Circe has only just arrived in foster mid January, but she is already starting to relax in the home and is learning to walk nicely in her harness, which is going well when there are no distractions. She loves her squeaky ball and snuffle mats. She travels well in the car. Her foster mum says “I know that she will make the right person a wonderful dog and trusty companion. She is a super dog”
Circe has an impressive and very elegant physique, she is very energetic and active, she has the normal pointer interests and prey drive. She loves her walks and to run freely in secure fields.
