About

Setter, Brittany & Pointer Rescue was set up in 2013 by Penelope, after moving to Asturias from the UK and realising the plight of gundogs across Spain.

Although adored in the UK, Setters, Brittany’s and Pointer’s are thought of as mere tools by the hunters in Spain and often abandoned, taken to the vets to be put to sleep, or worse. Unfortunately, people in Spain rarely think to take on a gundog as a pet so many of them spend their lives in shelters.

We work with several shelters to find forever homes for their dogs in the UK. Our adoption process includes an application form, video chat and home check. Our application form can be found here.

We are not a charity and rely on the kindness of donations from people like you. To enable us to help more dogs, please consider a one-off or regular donation.
